About the Role

MJ Digital is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our insights team. You will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to drive smarter business decisions. You’ll collaborate with marketing, finance, and engineering teams to transform raw data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple internal and external sources.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract meaningful insights from structured databases.
• Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in complex datasets.
• Collaborate with departments to understand data needs and deliver accurate analytics solutions.
• Present data-driven recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of professional experience in data analysis or business intelligence.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel (advanced), and data visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau).
• Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib) preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex findings simply.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with basic statistics and machine learning concepts.
• Experience automating data pipelines or ETL processes.
• Exposure to business domains like marketing analytics or eCommerce data.
